The planet is on fire
with creativity

Greed

Desire to tip
children’s vision
rips through platforms
built on virtual landscapes
corporations pillage

Rape

Grids altering
under technology’s crown
all safeguards falling down
we are faltering
kids living under bridges
gnaw with discomfort

Gaps

Ridges

Computer symmetric maps
retort
life is sapped
we resort to
violence

Reality
backlash roars
veterans roll chairs
protesting wars
hearts relived
mentality
reckoning bodies tear
mind resolves
trauma bare

I can teach you to protest
how to rant
sow wheat
barley
rye in rows
how to plant dreams
while harvest bulges
at the seams
indulgence high
but I can’t teach you
how not to cry

I won’t teach you
how not to cry
as the moon is full
desire high
sunset slips from orphan’s sigh
loneliness haunts forest songs
warrior won’t right the wrongs
after shocks
memes and bitcoins

On the Rocks

What about natures path
humanity
aftermath 
what about grapes of wrath?
not sour
nothing left to devour
digest seasoned vapes

Simple invitation
a grand mistake

No matter taste or disgust
this too will pass
in God we trust

After expresso martinis
turn the page
like ancient cultures from 
a distant age

We need help
like boundless oceans
of simple kelp
creatures
great and small
together we stand
together we fall
perhaps to our knees

When we realize there’s
nothing to appease

I can teach you to resist AI
write you a lullaby
to persist
a true manuscript
not something ripped
from mind or heart
that dripped emotion
ripened by hope stripped

But I cannot teach you how
for the now
not to cry
for failing crops
of wheat and rye

Dry your tarragon
go back home
don’t scry the internet
Google maps

Best Bet

Take a nap in the field
harvest your dreams

Feel

In between spaces
remember the hints
shadows
traces
navigate fates
true essence
glow with all
luminescence
enable your circuitry
defy uncertainty

I can teach you to scry
heavens solutions
reap minor benefits
fight pollution
the answer 
in the blood
epic battle against
floods
of information
tune to
a station you know
a frequency you have to go

This heart you will know

Sow wheat
barley
rye
enable yourself 
to rock the cradle
reaching for something
no force can
